Crocodiles, birds, kangaroos, wallaby, & Cassowaries are all animals on the Johnstone River Crocodile farm. The handles did a large feeding for us where they visited each of the crocodiles cages. They also farm the crocodiles for teeth, skin, meat & such.
You may or may not know that I am very afraid of snakes. So the pictures on the 2nd pages were from a scary experience to say the least. At the end of the tour you can hold a baby croc or snakes. I chose the baby croc which was really cool. But curiosity got the best of me so I asked if I could touch the snake which I did. With a little encouragement I even decided I would hold the one of the snakes. I did this for a few minutes with no issues. However, a few minutes later the lady came by & said she needed a volunteer for something, so I decided to do it. What happened was that I got a snake first wrapped around & in my shirt. This was scary enough, but the next step was to have the snake go into my pants, which really freaked me out (as you can probably see in the pictures). After a little bit she had the girl who had volunteered earlier get the snake out of my pants. I was happy to have the snake off me when I was done. Even though I had been really scared while it was all happening I think it helped me to get over my fear of snakes a little. I will probably still not be having one as a pet, but I would not be too scared to handle domestic ones now.
