The first picture is of the Swinging Bridge Cage in the town of Adelong (population 90). There are also some other pictures of the town. The cafe was a really nice place to eat breakfast (first time I had ever had caramel on pancakes). My mom also bought a bunch of items from the little shop in the other part of the cafe. The people at the cafe were really nice to deal with, which was not how the restaurant people had been in the previous town.
After breakfast we were going to get back on the road, but we saw a sign for the Adelong Falls. So being the adventurous travelers that we are we decided to check them out. What we found when we got there was that is was more old gold mine, than spectacular falls. However, the river was really picturesque & the little tour around the old gold operation was interesting. It had little informational markers to tell you what each thing was. My dad was also explaining to me how things worked together. One of the interesting things I found was something my mom pointed out which was the gold had to go through 2 or 3 times to make sure they got the gold. It was really worth the time, even though I got stung by something. It is cool that you can drive a certain way & find things that there is nobody else at. There was only 2 other people there for the 45 minutes we were looking around.
