Australia - 2005-02-27 - 1 - Royal National Park - Waterfall Flat
After driving the most of the past day, we were setup for a big site seeing
day. The plan was to go to Royal National & Botany Bay National Parks.
I had already been to both, but had walked the trails, which would be
mostly different from what we were going to see. Royal National Park has
so many different parts that it is unreal. It is easily one of the top
5 national parks I have been to on the this trip. We entered Royal National
Park from the south & right after the entrance came to a pull off for
Waterfall Flat. We took it to see the waterfall, which was actually more
of a mist going over the rocks. Although the rocks, trees & flowers around
made it a really beautiful location. The flowers in the pictures looked
like honeysuckle plants back home so we had to take some pictures of them.
The area where the water drops is actually quite a way down & we were
able to walk right around everything. It was another one of those nice
little stops were there is no one at. A lot of times the big tourist attractions
are really crowded & restricted which takes away from them.
