Australia - 2005-04-07 - 7 - Otway National Park - Otway Fly Tree Top Walk (Page 1)
After getting a camping place at Laver Hill I decided to go to the Otway
Fly Tree Top Walk, which is a suspended walk in the tree tops. Adrian
decided to not join me for this one, so I took the truck for the first
time anywhere by myself. The walk itself is very well organized & you
learn a lot about the trees of the area. It is also really cool to be
so high up, because it gives you a different perspective on how the trees
look. Most of the time you are about 20-30 meters (approx. 60-90 feet)
above the trees, although the tower you can go up about half way through
is 50 meters (approx. 150 feet) high. The way the structure was built
was very interesting to observe as was the environment. Towards the end
of the walk I also saw some yellow breasted birds which were singing as
I walked.
