Australia - 2005-04-10 - 5 - Grampians National Park - Balconies Lookout
From the same car park as the Reed Lookout you can go to the Balconies.
It was a nice little walk & we decided that since we were already
wet we were not going to let the rain stop us. The walk was worth it because
it is a great view. I also went outside the fence area so that I could
get my picture on the rock hanging out over nothing. It is the one on
the brochure & by the unofficial walking path to it, I could tell
I was not the first one with this idea. Looking down once on the rock
you can't even really see the bottom of the forest, it is just so far
away. After climbing back off the rock we headed back to the car. On the
way we found another rock that I thought I needed my picture on. Other
than the first walk of the morning this was my favorite place in the Grampians
& would have been even better on a clear day.
