Australia - 2005-04-12 - 5 - Bamera - Lake Bonney, Pelicans & Sunset
After a long day of driving we were looking for a nice free place to stay.
What we saw on the map was the there was swimming at Lake Bonney in Bamera.
So we found the public toilets & setup our camping spot. We also went
for a swim in the lake which was nice, but there was no visibility so
we didn't see much. After that we went to see where we could get some
showers. What we found was that there was a workout place less than 5
minutes walk away from our camp. So we went there & played racquetball
which was really fun. We also decided to do it the following morning &
signed up for a time that night. We ended up being 1/2 early the next
morning because of the time zone change of 1/2 hour. Both sets of games
were great & I got to practice my German by keeping track of the score
with it. We only spent $20 for all the games & got showers afterwards,
so it seemed like a good value. Although I am used to working out for
free back home so it is always a little tough to pay for a workout :)
Before we went to play there was a beautiful sunset (pelican included),
that I got pictures of.
