Australia - 2005-04-29 - Broome - Cable Beach & Driving Sunset
We had planned to spend several days in Broome scuba diving, snorkeling
& enjoying the beach. However, when we got there we realized that we could
not swim or snorkel (jellyfish), & scuba diving was shut down in the "winter".
Everything we had wanted to do in Broome was basically not possible. Plus
the caravan park we stayed at was expensive & not that great. Plus there
was no Boost & the subway didn't have bread at 3 pm in the afternoon (actually
it had only white bread). Last time I checked bread was their business.
So Adrian & I got pizza at Eagle Boys pizza which is cheap & was rather
nice. We had also got other errands like groceries & such done the night
before. So the next morning we went to the tire guy to get our $20 tire,
checked out Cable Beach (which is incredibly beautiful by the way) & headed
south. The day ended up being dedicated to driving because there is absolutely
nothing to see from Broome to Port Headland, where we stayed the night.
Although we did see a nice sunset on the way.
