Australia - 2005-06-06 - 2 - The Kimberly - Road & Sunset
While we were in Derby we had spent quite a while at the information center
getting maps & learning what we needed to know. It took us a little while
to get help because there was only one person there helping. But we needed
to make sure we knew what were we were going because there is no more
help after this place. When you add the time for the information center
& the police offer stops it did not let us get as far as we would have
liked. These pictures are the first of the Gibb River Road. It starts
out paved, but goes to sand & gravel really soon & that is all you see
until you are off the Gibb River Road. There are cows crossing everywhere
as you can see from one of the pictures. The picture of inside of the
truck was a mistake, but I thought it looked interesting so I kept it.
Lastly is our first sunset in the Kimberly which was much nicer than the
pictures made it look, trust me :)
