Australia - 2005-06-15 - 4 - Kakadu National Park - Maguk Walk (Sayoko)
When I got to the Maguk Walk I was happy to see that there was a little
hill. I parked on this so we could do a rolling start to avoid needing
another jump start. This was a big crocodile area, I ended up getting
in the water for a little bit but only the area where it was shallow &
I could see. Sayoko decided to stay at the river bank, probably a smart
move :) It was a nice walk, but nothing really stood out which we had
not seen in other places. It was getting late in the day & we knew that
we had a lot to see the next day so we did not spend that long at the
end of the walk pools. When we got back to the truck I knew that I had
one shot to successfully complete the rolling start. Not only that it
the first time I have ever did one of these. There were no other cars
in the parking lot & it was 12 kilometers down a 4WD road to this one,
so there was no flagging someone down for a jump start if I did it wrong.
Just a little pressure, but I was able to do it & we were gone ;) All
